Why This Page

I am a retired veteran and I find myself annoyed more and more these days with the way things are going in America.  We seem to have wandered away from our shared core values of honor, self-reliance and personal responsibility.  To help reduce my stress and perhaps let go of some of my frustration, I created this page as a place for me to vent and for you to comment. 

The background information for what I write about is what most of us can find in a few minutes online. I am not a journalist, so my research will be an inch deep and a mile wide. My opinions are my own. I intend this blog to be a place to discuss the news of the day, particularly those things that annoy me and then as I say, let it all go. I invite you to join me. Spirited debate and defense of one's opinions is encounraged. Offensive language, racial, gender, or religious slurs will not be tolerated and will be deleted by me when I see them. As an aside, discussion of politics, culture, race, religion or gender issues among people will generate differing views, I expect that and welcome the diversity of opinion. I only ask that you just apply the grandmother test and keep it clean. Annoyed With Things
